This relatively large cyclamen is native to southern Greece, southern Turkey and neighboring islands, growing up to an elevation of 1200m. The leaves are very variable in their patterning. This species has the unique feature of relatively thick, almost tuberous roots than extend below the tuber proper.  It really needs to bake in summer to initiate good flowering.  It is a fall-blooming species.
