Description and General Information:
The species Geranium cinereum is native to alpine areas of the Pyrenees. The selection 'Ballerina' is perhaps the most popular. While the wild species has plain pink flowers, 'Ballerina' has pink flowers heavily veined with dark purple. Plants form low mounds, 10-15 cm high and with a spread of 30-45 cm. The leaves are small and a unique grey-green colour. The 2 cm diameter flowers are produced all season, on prostrate stems.
