I saw this link to a Denver Post article in garden gadgetry, and was particularly interested in the waterproof PlantCam, which purports to be able to make time-lapse animations of plants growing and flowering.

"Ever wonder what happens in your garden when you're not looking? Now it's easy to be a fly on the garden wall with the new Timelapse PlantCam by Wingscapes. Garden photographers can create home movies of plants growing in fast-forward, just like in the time-lapse plant documentaries shown on PBS's Nova series. The weatherproof digital camera is time-activated to take photos or videos of the garden in either close- up or landscape view. Watch the movies by connecting to a computer or television and share them online or through e-mail. The PlantCam retails for $79.95 (wingscapes.com)."

(page wants to install running an ActiveX control to view a promo movie about the BirdCam and PlantCam products, I did, watched the video, but returning to the links crashes my Internet Explorer 8.0... be advised)

Could be interesting now. I am at my cabin wondering how things go on at home!
